Q.E.D. Systems has been awarded a potential $102.5 million contract modification by the U.S. Navy for third-party advanced planning services to support various availabilities of the military branch’s surface combatant ship classes.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday the contractor’s work will aid chief of naval operations availabilities, continuous maintenance availabilities, inactivation CMAVs, sustainment availabilities, phased modernization availabilities, re-commissioning availabilities and continuous maintenance of CG 47/DDG 51 combatant ship classes.
The modification has an initial value of 33.5 million and exercises options on a previously awarded contract, according to DoD.
The Naval Sea Systems Command obligated $1.8 million in fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds for work to be performed in Virginia and California through February 2018.
