Navy Awards $91M to Seven Firms Through Military Construction IDIQ

Seven companies have been awarded $91M in contract funds from the U.S. Navy to build, modernize or repair facilities at various government installations located within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s southwest area of operations.

This award brings the aggregate value of the original firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for heavy horizontal and civil engineering projects from $249M to $340M, the Department of Defense said Monday.

NAVFAC received 18 proposals for the IDIQ and the service branch will finance succeeding task orders with military construction, operations and maintenance funds.

Ninety-percent of work will take place in California and the remaining 10 percent will occur in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah.
