The U.S. Navy has awarded seven companies positions on a potential five-year, $2.5 billion contract to design and construct facilities in Guam and other areas of operations of the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific.
NAVFAC Pacific received nine proposals for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The vendors will also perform work in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Hawaii and other areas in the Indian and Pacific Oceans through March 2028.

Granite-Obayashi 2 JV has secured a potential $126.1 million task order to build an electrical and communications building, ancillary mechanical enclosures, an auto shop and other facilities for the Ground Combat Element Infantry Battalions 1 and 2. The company will perform work in Finegayan, Guam, through December 2025.
Each awardee, excluding Granite-Obayashi 2 JV, will receive a minimum contract guarantee of $25,000 from the service branch’s fiscal 2023 supervision, inspection and overhead account.
