The U.S. Navy has awarded four small businesses positions on a potential five-year, $240 million contract to provide environmental remediation support services at contaminated sites located at Navy and Marine Corps bases and other government sites.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic in Norfolk, Virginia, conducted an online solicitation and received four offers for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The IDIQ contract has a one-year base term and four option years that could run through April 2029 if exercised.
Work will primarily occur within NAVFAC Atlantic’s area of operations, including Virginia, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Maryland, Texas and Washington, D.C.
The service branch will use fiscal 2024 environmental restoration funds to obligate $10,000 to each awardee as a minimum contract guarantee.
