NASA has indicated its intent to award Mori Associates a 17-month contract extension for information technology and communications services at the Johnson Space Center in Texas and other agency facilities, according to a SAM special notice posted Thursday.
The agency said it determined that only Mori possesses the capability to offer specialized support services before the transition of requirements from the Communications, Outreach, Multimedia and IT contract to regional and agency-wide procurement vehicles.
Rockville, Maryland-based Mori won the original $300M COMIT award in February 2016 and may extend work performance from May 1, 2021, through Sept. 30, 2022.
The company has helped Johnson personnel manage systems, external communications and outreach and multimedia functions through the prior contract.
