NASA has released a draft request for proposals for the second iteration of a potential eight-year contract to provide logistics support for the agency’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama.
The planned MSFC Logistics Support Services II contract will be a total 8(a) small business set-aside program covering support across the areas of management, disposal operations, transportation management, supply and materials management operations, mail management, lifecycle logistics and supply chain management, equipment management and other specialty services, according to the draft RFP published Wednesday.
According to the draft solicitation, MLSS II will be an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a potential performance period of eight years but could be reduced to five years in the final RFP depending on the agency’s needs.
NASA expects to release the final solicitation on or about July 7 with plans to award the contract by July 3, 2024, with an effective date of Aug. 1, 2024.
The agency will hold a virtual industry day briefing on April 26 and accept questions and feedback on the draft RFP through May 5.
