Murali Krishnan, most recently sector vice president of strategic growth at Northrop Grumman’s (NYSE: NOC) mission systems business, has been promoted to sector VP and general manager of the payload and ground systems division within the Falls Church, Virginia-based aerospace and defense contractor’s space systems business, GovCon Wire has learned.
In this capacity, he oversees growth initiatives and performance of the division’s portfolio of space technology and mission platforms in support of defense, national security and civil space customers.
Krishnan joined Northrop in 2021 as VP of tactical fighters business unit, where he led efforts to provide electro-optical sensors for fighter aircraft, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He came to Northrop from L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX), where he served as president of the EO sector and VP and GM of the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance business unit.
The U.S. Air Force veteran also held executive program management positions at Raytheon and a strategy consultant role at global management consulting firm Bain & Co.
