Aircraft systems control manufacturing firm Moog (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B) has acquired Mineral Wells, Texas-based electronic flight instrument and autopilot technology provider Genesys Aerosystems for approximately $77.7M.
Genesys, which McNally Capital held a minority stake in, offers products and sustainment services for helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft avionics.
Elma, New York-based Moog manufacturers actuators, airports runway surveillance, avionics software, engine controls, fiber optics, flight controls, propulsion systems and navigation aids.
Ravi Shah, a principal at McNally, said the venture capital firm built on its internal expertise in aerospace and defense along with Wilson’s knowledge and experience to support Genesys’s growth in the aircraft avionics sector.
Stephens Inc. acted as Genesys' sell-side adviser and Ropes & Gray served as its legal counsel on the transaction.
