Mobix Labs has acquired Nevada-based aerospace and defense components provider SCP Manufacturing. The transaction will be a mix of cash and equity and is expected to close in the second quarter, Mobix Labs said Wednesday.
Mobix Labs Ventures Into Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing
The deal is aimed at strengthening the Irvine, California-headquartered advanced connectivity company’s position in high-growth industries. SCP Manufacturing supplies mission-critical electrical parts for customers in the aerospace, defense and commercial sectors. One of its customers is the U.S. military, which uses components from SCP on its Patriot missiles, submarines and naval ships. SCP also provides parts for oil rigs, railcars and metropolitan transit systems.
According to Fabian Battaglia, CEO of Mobix Labs, the acquisition of SCP Manufacturing reflects his company’s effort to “redefine the aerospace and defense landscape.”
“With SCP’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities, and a track record of excellence, Mobix Labs gains access to technologies essential for advanced military and commercial systems,” he commented.
The acquisition is Mobix Labs’ second in recent weeks. The company also initiated the purchase of Spacecraft Components in late 2024. Spacecraft Components was founded in 1962. It delivers electrical connectors for the military, aerospace, transportation and industrial sectors.
