Mitre Vice President and Chief Acceleration Officer Laurie Giandomenico has been elevated to the position of senior vice president.
She will continue overseeing the not-for-profit company’s tech foundation, Engenuity, and incubation and innovation programs, the research organization said Monday.
Giandomenico initially joined Mitre in 1991 as a technical staff member and later worked at global management consultancy McKinsey & Co. as an associate.
The Rocket Strategy founder returned to Mitre in 2019 as VP and CAO. She then helped create Engenuity to partner with government and industry in cybersecurity, health care and 5G network advancement initiatives.
“From building a coalition to support a more resilient semiconductor ecosystem and investing in dual-use healthcare technologies to support pandemic preparedness to accelerating use-case innovation in 5G and advancing threat-informed cyber defense, Laurie is helping to transform the way MITRE connects with industry, thereby increasing our impact for the public good,” said Mitre President and CEO Jason Providakes, a three-time recipient of the Wash100 award.
