The executive announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post Monday.
Icard has a combined 15 years at Teledyne. He initially worked as director of finance and administration for Teledyne Energy Systems Inc., then transitioned to vice president and general manager before assuming his most recent role.
The executive’s career also includes almost a decade stint at Motorola as a federal business controller.
As Spectral Energies COO, Icard will now be responsible for strengthening the company’s collaboration with defense agencies and contractors to support military counter unmanned aerial system and hypersonic programs.
“Working closely with the Missile Defense Agency, [U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command] and their contractors, our focus is to develop innovative defense technologies, contributing to national security and defense capabilities,” Icards noted on his profile.
