Mission Essential Gets Potential $695M Army Task Order for Language, Cultural Advisory Services

Mission Essential has secured aÂ potential five-year, $695 million task order from the U.S. Army‘sÂ Intelligence and Security Command toÂ carry outÂ language and cultural advisory services.

The company said Tuesday it will provide services under the force projection mission area of the Defense Language Interpretation Translation EnterpriseÂ IIÂ indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

The task orderÂ has a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.

Mission Essential is among nine companies that won positions on a potential 10-year, $9.9 billion contractÂ to provide foreign language services under the Army’s DLITEÂ program.

The service branch added 11 firms to the DLITE contract in March.

Mission Essential has providedÂ language interpretation, translation, transcription and cultural awareness services for theÂ Operation Freedom’s Sentinel conventional and special operations mission since 2007.
