Patricia Obermaier, founder and former CEO of consulting firm Resigility, has joined Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) as vice president for U.S. health and life sciences, FedHealthIT reported Tuesday.
She brings more than 20 years of business development experience and will be responsible for driving Microsoft™s U.S. sales in the health and life sciences sector in her new position.
Obermaier previously worked at healthcare information technology provider IMS Health, where she led profit and loss, business development and equity management functions for the company™s government services portfolio.
Before that, she spent eight years at Unisys (NYSE: UIS) in various leadership roles and managed strategy development as well as other business-related activities for its HHS account.
She holds a bachelor™s degree in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
