Lily Kim, general manager of Azure government at Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT), higlighted some of the company’s latest efforts to help agencies address cloud computing requirements in a blog entry posted Monday.
She said federal customers can seek hands-on support from Azure engineers and access to a 10-gigabit connectivity service for the cloud platform at the firm’s office in Chevy Chase, Md.
Azure Government also includes an SQL database managed instance and a database migration service.
Kim added that Microsoft offers a rugged appliance built to process data at the tactical edge and transmit information to the dedicated cloud environment. Data Box Edge is battery-operated and supports analysis of aggregated data.
The company also introduced a serverless Kubernetes offering to help public sector organizations build and deploy applications.
