Michele Miller, senior director for tactical systems engineering at Ball Aerospace, has been promoted to serve as vice president of the company’s security and mission assurance unit.
She succeeds Jeff Osterkamp, who retired from the company, Ball said Monday.
Miller served as director of the missile defense systems group at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) before she joined Ball and is currently serving as an associate fellow for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
“Over the course of her career, Michele has demonstrated strong technical expertise in executing cutting-edge defense and intelligence missions, exceptional leadership of cross-functional teams responsible for complex and critical programs, and dedicated mentorship in giving back to the aerospace and defense community through the development of underrepresented populations of the workforce,” said Dave Kaufman, president of Ball Aerospace.
