Michael Ruppert
Michael Ruppert, executive vice president for strategy and corporate development at Mercury Systems (Nasdaq: MRCY), has been promoted to chief financial officer and treasurer at the Andover, Massachusetts-based defense electronics maker.
He succeeds Gerald Haines, who held the CFO and treasurer roles for three years, Mercury Systems said Monday.
Mark Aslett, president and CEO of Mercury Systems, said that Ruppert will lead the company’s integrated finance and merger-and-acquisition teams in efforts to strengthen the link between its corporate development, finance and accounting functions that support growth initiatives.
Ruppert joined the company in 2014 as a senior VP after he previously served as co-founder and managing partner at Arlington, Virginia-based RSPartners.
He led a defense and government information technology effort at UBS Securities as a managing director, and worked with clients on aerospace and defense M&As during his tenure at Lehman Brothers and Lazard.
