Michael Davis, a retired U.S. Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, has joined Gaithersburg, Maryland-based information technology services provider DecisionPoint as senior vice president of professional services, according to a LinkedIn post published Wednesday.
The nearly two-decade USMC veteran will oversee profit and loss functions for the Gaithersburg, Maryland-based company’s contract portfolio, as well as support bids and proposals, price to win, business capture and growth initiatives.
Before joining DecisionPoint, Davis spent more than 19 years at Exeter Government Services and most recently led the latter’s defense programs as VP.
He previously served as VP and chief information officer at Valor Telecommunications and director and senior manager of management information systems at Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises.
Davis was part of USMC’s reserve component from 1999-2009 and on active duty from 1990 to 1999.
