MetTel said Tuesday it will serve as DHS’s main internet provider for the DHS-Internet Protocol Service-Primary Network and perform real-time communications and information technology support for department users.
Under the task order, the company will ensure that DHS personnel have access to the MetTel Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Federal Portal, which was built to visualize IPS performance monitoring and related network operations.
Other contract services include the deployment of IPS support at various locations to ensure network security at bandwidth capacities of 10 gigabits per second.
Robert Dapkiewicz, general manager and senior vice president of MetTel’s federal segment, said the company worked to meet stringent DHS requirements for “lowest price technically acceptable” procurements as part of the award.
MetTel secured the order through GSA’s EIS contract vehicle.
