The Missile Defense Agency has informed industry that it will conduct a small business set-aside competition and issue a single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to procure data support services.
MDA expects to release a preliminary request for proposals for the Agency Information Management and Software Services program in the third or fourth quarter of fiscal year 2023 and award the AIMSS contract during Q3 of the following year, according to a special notice posted Tuesday.
The agency launched market research in December 2021 to assess whether existing small business capabilities could support the management, operations, modernization and sustainment of the Missile Defense System data repository.
According to the latest notice, the AIMSS contract will have a five-year base period of performance and five single-year options.
MDA’s acquisition team is currently preparing a performance work statement and contract requirements package, and aims to release specifics of the program’s scope in the next 30 to 45 days.
