Consulting firm McAleese & Associates has released a report on the U.S. Armys procurement and modernization plans as discussed by military officials at recent congressional hearings.
Army Secretary Mark Esper and Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, both 2019 Wash100 winners, appeared Tuesday before the House Armed Services Committee to discuss the service branchs acquisition priorities, Jim McAleese, founder and principal at McAleese & Associates, wrote in the report.
McAleese, a 2019 Wash100 recipient, noted the Army is committed to advancing the procurement of an Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle; Extended Range Cannon Artillery; Iron Dome/Indirect Fire Protection Capability; and ground combat vehicle active protection systems.
Lt. Gen. Jim Richardson, deputy commander of Army Futures Command; Lt. Gen. Paul Ostrowski, deputy to the assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology; and Lt. Gen. James Pasquarette, deputy chief of staff of the Army G-8; discussed the services modernization plans at the Senate Armed Services air land subcommittee hearing Tuesday.
