Maximus, Genesys Issue Report on Gov't Agencies' View on FedRAMP-Driven Cloud Benefits

Maximus (NYSE: MMS) and Daly City, California-based cloud and artificial intelligence company Genesys released a report stating that most government organizations see the long-term benefits of implementing Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-approved cloud technologies.

Market Connections, a government-focused market research firm, surveyed 500 technology officials in local, state and federal agencies their view of the FedRAMP initiative and found that 91 percent of federal respondents believe that their agencies have at least some of the workloads migrated to a cloud environment, Maximus said Wednesday.

State and local respondents accounted for the 93 percent that reported the same.

According to the report, 45 percent of federal respondents and 52 percent of state and local tech officials said their agencies currently store mission and citizen data in a cloud environment.

Raj Parameswaran, president of U.S federal information technology at the company, noted that the survey shows how agencies view FedRAMP and its benefits in security and accelerated cloud adoption.
