Mark Forman Appointed Digital Government VP at Unisys' Federal Unit; PV Puvvada Quoted

Mark Forman, former head of the global public sector business at Unisys (NYSE: UIS), has been appointed as vice president of digital government within the company’s federal arm. He will lead innovation efforts meant to help customer agencies manage mission outcomes through digital transformation and cloud computing approaches, Unisys said Monday.

The company added he will work with the firm’s technology leaders in efforts to align its offerings for the federal government with policy guidance from the White House and Congress. PV Puvvada, president of Unisys Federal and a five-time Wash100 awardee, said Forman brings experience in technology and knowledge of information technology policy in the government sector to his new position as the company aims to help address agencies’ IT requirements.

Forman led the Office of E-Government and IT during the George W. Bush administration. His corporate career includes leadership roles at IBM (NYSE: IBM), Engility and KPMG. He received the 2013 Janice K. Mendenhall Spirit of Leadership Award from the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council, which recognized his contributions to the federal IT sector.
