Archer Western Construction and the RQ-DPR joint venture have won separate contracts worth $296.3M combined to help the U.S. Marine Corps replace bridge and building structures that suffered damage from Hurricane Florence.
The service branch awarded nearly $118M to Archer Western to construct a moveable bridge as part of Hurricane Florence Recovery Package 4 for Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, the Department of Defense said Friday.
DoD added that the RQ-DPR JV will carry out eight headquarters facility construction projects at the base under a potential $178.3M Hurricane Florence Recovery Package 2 contract.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic received six proposals for the first contract and 13 proposals for the second contract. Both agreements run through March 2025.
The JV's award features 45 planned modifications plus 19 options, according to the Pentagon.
