Core One Solutions has named Mac Curtis, former chairman of the board at Cubic and a nine-time Wash100 Award recipient, to its board of directors.
Core One said Tuesday Curtis brings to the board his deep leadership experience in the government services sector.
Patrick Moniz, CEO of Core One Solutions, welcomed the addition of Curtis to the board.
“His deep expertise in the national security sector, combined with his track record of leading and transforming mission-focused companies, will provide valuable strategic guidance as we continue to grow and evolve to meet our customers’ needs,” Moniz added.
Founded in 2013, Core One Solutions is a Sterling, Virginia-based company that provides mission-critical intelligence, technology and training support for the national security community.
Mac Curtis’ Career Highlights
Curtis most recently served as chairman at Cubic, where he provided strategic oversight as the company expanded its capabilities in training, secure communications and C4ISR for defense and intelligence agency customers.
The 2025 Wash100 awardee and Executive Mosaic’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient has over 35 years of senior leadership experience in government contracting, leading over 25 acquisitions worth more than $8.5 billion combined.
From June 2018 to May 2021, Curtis was chairman and CEO of Perspecta, a company he helped transform into a $7.1 billion publicly traded government IT services entity. He helped establish Perspecta, now part of Peraton, through a merger involving DXC Technology’s public sector business, KeyPoint Government Solutions and Vencore.
Before Perspecta, Curtis served as CEO of Vencore and Vangent and held senior leadership positions at Pearson Government Solutions and DynCorp International.
The Virginia Military Institute civil engineering graduate sits on the boards of Blue Delta Capital Partners and MetroStar. He also serves a four-year term on the Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority’s board of directors.
