Lt. Gen. Maria Barrett, commanding general of U.S. Army Cyber Command, is scheduled to headline a July 12 virtual forum to discuss how the service branch is working to advance its capabilities in the strategic digital environment.
Barrett became the fifth top uniformed officer over ARCYBER in May and leads the Army organization responsible for helping secure the Department of Defense Information Network. ARCYBER also works to deliver cyberspace effects against global adversaries and develop systems to equip soldiers for real-world missions to protect critical U.S. infrastructure against other global cyber threats.
Her address to GovCon Wire Events’ Second Annual Defense Cyber Forum will be followed by a panel discussion involving other leaders from the Department of Defense.
Other government officials invited to speak include Col. Heather Blackwell, director of cyberspace and information dominance at Air Combat Command; Brig. Gen. Tina Boyd, J6 director at U.S. Central Command; and Christopher Cleary, principal cyber adviser at the Department of the Navy.
