Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a potential $970.1M contract to provide technical and engineering support to electronic warfare technology insertion efforts for the U.S. Navy’s submarines.
The company will design, build, test, integrate, insert, refresh and support the AN/BLQ-10 EW system designed for integration into in-service and newly constructed submarines, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a $20M base value and would reach its cumulative value if the Navy exercises all options.
The military branch will obligate $8.5M at the time of award from its research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal 2019.
Ninety-five percent of work will occur in Syracuse, N.Y., and the remaining 5 percent will take place in Manassas, Va.
