A Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) business segment has received a one-year, $93.2 million contract modification to help the U.S. Navy maintain combat management technology used on Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ships.
Lockheed’s rotary and mission systems unit initially received a $789.6 million contract last year to update, test and integrate the COMBATSS-21 baseline.
The branch intends to obligate $8.4 million on the award and approximately $3.1 million of the total initial funding will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Work under the modification runs through March 2022.
