Lockheed Secures $440M Navy Contract Modification for F-35 Site Activation, Sustainment Services

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has secured a $439.9 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to help military services activate sites and carry out initial aircraft sustainment activities for their F-35 aircraft fleet.

The modification covers the provision of support equipment, pilot flight equipment, post-ejection survival training material and related services in support of initial aircraft sustainment efforts and site activation for all three F-35 variants, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Using customers are the U.S. Air Force, the Navy, the Marine Corps, non-DOD participants and foreign military sales clients.

Ninety-one percent of work will occur in Redondo Beach, California, and the rest in Fort Worth, Texas, and Orlando, Florida, through December 2029.

The contract modification was made under a two-year, $765.1 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded by Naval Air Systems Command in November 2022.

Lockheed received another contract modification worth $1.15 billion in January to provide F-35 site activation and hardware requirements including site activation events and training devices.
