Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a potential five-year, $424.2 million to provide threat radar emitter simulation technology and services for a U.S. Navy aircrew warfighter training program.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday the company will also build peripheral simulation equipment under the Navy’s Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Range initiative.
The AEWTTR project, managed by the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, focuses on the development, implementation and sustainment of ground EW and surface-to-air weapons threat systems, according to a FedBizOpps notice.
Lockheed will perform work under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract in Ridgecrest, California, through May 2021.
