Lockheed Receives $101M Modification on Army Hellfire Missile Contract

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a three-year, $101.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to provide Hellfire missile systems to domestic and international defense customers.

Army Contracting Command obligated the full amount using defense-wide funds from the U.S. military and foreign military sales funds from Indonesia, Greece, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The Hellfire is a laser-guided air-to-surface missile weapon system manufactured by Lockheed for various aircraft platforms such as the AH-64 Apache helicopter and the MQ-1C Gray Eagle unmanned aerial system.

In May, Lockheed received a $663.7 million Army award to continue producing Hellfire missiles.
