Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has secured a potential 11-year, $879M to help the U.S. Air Force maintain re-entry system and vehicle subsystems that support an intercontinental ballistic missile platform.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes maintenance, sustainment, developmental and production engineering, aging surveillance, alteration and software maintenance support for Minuteman III RS/RV equipment, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Work will take place at Hill AF Base in Utah and King of Prussia, Pa.
The service branch will obligate $7.8M in fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds for the initial task order under the sole-source contract.
DoD expects Lockheed’s space business to complete services by June 4, 2030.
