Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has landed a $350M modification to an existing production support indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the U.S. Air Force‘s Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile.
The company will provide logistics, integration, production, sustainment, system updates and management support for all JASSM variants including the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile and the JASSM-Extended Range, the Defense Departmentsaid Monday.
Work will take place in Orlando, Fla. through April 17, 2022.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center issued the sole-source award.
The JASSM is a 2K-pound long-range, air-to-ground precision standoff missile that uses an infrared seeker and anti-jam global positioning system to chase targets.
It is integrated on the USAF’s B-1B, B-2, B-52, F-15E and F-16 aircraft.
