Lockheed Books $320M Contract Modification for F-35 Engineering Services

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will perform non-recurring engineering work for an F-35 flight science test aircraft replacement project under a $320 million contract modification from Naval Air Systems Command.

The company will engineer systems to support the production of F-35A, F-35B and F-35C jets intended for testing use by the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and non-Department of Defense participants, DOD said Tuesday.

Approximately $22.2 million will be obligated on the award from both the Navy and the Air Force, and another $4.9 million in non-DOD funds.

Seventy-five percent of work will take place in the U.S., 20 percent in the U.K. and the remaining five percent in Japan.

The Pentagon expects Lockheed to complete the services by December 2027.
