The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin an $869.94 million fixed-price-incentive-firm-target contract to procure long lead materials, parts, components and support services for the F-35 Lot 20 production aircraft.
The products and services will support the manufacturing of fighter jets for the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps; non-Department of Defense partners; and Foreign Military Sales customers, the DOD said Friday.
Work will be performed in Texas, California, Florida, New Hampshire, Maryland, the United Kingdom, Italy and other locations outside the continental U.S. through May 2031.
Naval Air Systems Command will obligate $197.53 million in fiscal year 2025 Air Force aircraft procurement funds, $172.72 million in FY 2025 Navy aircraft procurement funds, $35.4 million in non-DOD partner funds and $464.3 million in FMS customer funds at the time of the award.
Lockheed secured the contract without a competitive bidding process. The award builds on the company’s work providing similar products and services for F-35 Lot 17 and 19 fighter jets under a $7.8 billion contract modification and a $606.8 million contract, respectively.
