Lisa Mascolo, a more than 20-year technology industry veteran, has been named CEO of GCOM following the government technology firm’s merger with information technology consulting services provider OnCore Consulting.
Mascolo, a two-time Wash100 awardee who serves on the board of directors of the combined company, succeeds Kamal Bherwani, who will remain in the company as a board member, the Sagewind Capital portfolio company said Tuesday.
Before joining GCOM, Mascolo was managing director of the U.S. public service business unit at IBM (NYSE: IBM).
She also spent 11 years at Accenture (NYSE: ACN) where she held managing director roles focused on the U.S. federal government.
Her industry career includes roles such as CEO of Optimos and executive vice president of government solutions at UnitedHealth Group.
In early September, GCOM merged with OnCore Consulting to offer digital software platforms and related services to the government sector.
