Lisa Disbrow Elected LMI Board Chair; Doug Wagoner Quoted

Lisa Disbrow, chair of the audit and finance committee on LMI’s board of directors, has been elected board chair at the Tysons, Virginia-based management consultancy.

She succeeds Ken Krieg, who has held the chairman role since April 2019 and has served on the board since 2008, the nonprofit company said Monday.

LMI noted it saw more than 25 percent organic and inorganic business growth during Krieg’s tenure and transformed into a “digitally enabled’ organization that offers consulting services to multiple government market segments.

Disbrow previously served as acting secretary and undersecretary of the U.S. Air Force and as principal space adviser to the defense secretary.

The 32-year public sector veteran is also a senior fellow at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and a board member at BlackBerry (NYSE: BB) and Mercury Systems (Nasdaq: MRCY).

“His guidance has driven us toward our vision—powering a future-ready, high-performing government,” said Doug Wagoner, president and CEO of LMI and a 2021 Wash100 awardee.

“We look forward to [Disbrow] filling this role to further our mission and values and those of our customers,” Wagoner added.

Jim Sweetnam, a board member since 2011, will replace Disbrow as audit and finance committee chair.
