The U.S. government has selected Leonardo DRS to develop an active protection system and components for Abrams main battle tanks.
DRS will build the technologies in accordance with the U.S. Army’s Modular APS framework as part of the $7.8M project award under the National Advanced Mobility Consortium’s Ground Vehicle Systems other transaction agreement, NAMC said Wednesday.
