Leonardo DRS (Nasdaq: DRS) has secured a potential five-year, $99.1 million contract from the U.S. Army to provide mortar fire control systems and related hardware and training support services.
The Department of Defense said Monday Army Contracting Command launched an online solicitation and received four bids for the firm-fixed-price contract.
The contract includes the procurement of weapons and fire control hardware, provision of warehousing and deployment support for such systems and engineering services for programs managed by the military branch’s Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems.
According to the RFP, those programs include MFCS M95/M96/M150/M151, Lightweight Handheld Mortar Ballistic Computer M32A1/M32A2, Enhanced Portable Inductive Artillery Fuze Setter, Portable Electronic Fire Control Systems and Mortar Stowage Kit.
The military branch will obligate funds and determine work locations upon award of each task order and expects contract work to occur through July 28, 2029.
