Leonardo DRS™ network and imaging systems business has secured a $435M hybrid contract from the U.S. Army to deliver thermal imaging systems to be integrated with multiple platforms across the service branch.
The company is tasked to provide second-generation forward-looking infrared thermal receiver units, kit components and spares, as well as engineering and technical services, in support of the service branch’s horizontal technology integration project, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
DRS previously won a five-year, $79.3M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the Army to deliver second-generation FLIR Block 1 B kits and spare parts.
The service branch will determine work locations and funding upon issuance of each order under the new cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price contract through Sept. 9, 2025.
