Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has won a potential three-year, $63M contract to develop, engineer and integrate a training system based on synthetic signature generation technology for the U.S. Navy.
The company will also help the service branch test, implement and maintain the SSG trainer as part of the cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center-Carderock Division received one offer for the IDIQ through a competitive acquisition process and will obligate $10.8M at the time of award.
NSWC will use fiscal 2017 and fiscal 2019 other procurement, shipbuilding and conversion and research, development, test and evaluation funds to cover the initial obligated amount.
Contract work will take place in Bethesda, Md., through December 2022.
