Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has won a potential five-year, $160M task order to help the U.S. Army engineer software for radars, mission command platforms and surface-to-surface missile observation systems.
The task order, which has one base year plus four option years, will involve post-deployment and production sustainment support to the Army™s Communications-Electronics Command Software Engineering Center, Leidos said Monday.
Work will occur in Maryland and Oklahoma and also includes sustainment support for the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System used to manage artillery fire command-and-control functions within the Army and Marine Corps.
Eric Freeman, senior vice president of C4ISR solutions at Leidos, said the award builds on the company™s work as the developer of the AFATDS 7.0 software.
The company created a tool for the Army SEC to produce portfolio reports and monitor the center’s mission command and fires software programs including the AFATDS software.
