Leidos Receives $278M Army Tech Fielding Support Order Under RS3 Contract Vehicle

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has received a potential five-year, $278M task order to help the U.S. Army field weapon systems, equipment, computers and communication systems.

The task order has a one-year base period, followed by four one-year options, and is the first award the company won through the $37.4B Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services procurement vehicle, Leidos said Monday.

The company will deploy technical experts to configure and set up equipment for the field modernization division within the Army Communications Electronics Command™s Integrated Logistics Support Center.

Work also covers the deployment of mobile fielding teams along with the hardware to various military units to perform fielding modernization tasks.

Leidos added it will provide acquisition, strategic planning and research, development, test and evaluation support services as part of the task order.

Tom Dove, operations manager for Leidos’ logistics and mission support segment, said the company has supported Army missions for several decades and seeks to apply “lean” program management approaches to support the military branch’s situational awareness and readiness efforts.
