Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) will help the U.S. Army sustain and upgrade its command, control, communication, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance hardware systems under a potential $267 million follow-on indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services task order covers hardware sustainment, modernization, refresher training, and logistics services in support of the Army Communications-Electronics Command, Integrated Logistics Support Center, Field Support Directorate and Force Modernization Division, Leidos said Monday.
Under the prime contract, Leidos will assess the Army’s hardware capabilities, build new configurations and implement upgrades.
“These are critical capabilities and training our customer needs to deliver and modernize tactical network environments for the warfighter at the point of need,” said Jason McCarthy, senior vice president of engineering, integration and operations at Leidos.
The RS3 task order has a base period of 11 months with four option years.
In February 2019, Leidos secured a five-year, $278 million task order through the RS3 contracting vehicle to support the Army in fielding weapon systems, equipment, computers and communication systems.
