Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has received a potential 16-month, $196.5M bridge contract to continue to provide maintenance, sustainment and logistics support services for the Transportation Security Administration™s checkpoint screening equipment.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday says the contract has a one-year base term and one four-month option and covers preventive and corrective maintenance; tools, test equipment and calibration; quality control; supply support; and maintenance planning services.
The contract includes the provision of a 24/7 contact center for TSA™s service response office that receives maintenance work orders from at least 440 federal airports and relays those orders to service providers, according to the justification and approval notice.
Work began on Aug. 1 and will run through Nov. 30, 2019.
TSA said it plans to hold a full-and-open competition for follow-on support services during the period of the bridge contract.
