An L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) subsidiary has received a $73.8M contract from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to provide X-ray simulation technology to support testing operations focused on nuclear survivability.
L3 Applied Technologies will also provide long lead time items for the X-ray simulators as part of the award, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
DTRA will obligate $3.8M in fiscal 2020 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
Work under the sole-source and cost-plus-fxed-fee contract will take place in San Leandro, Calif., through May 2025.
