L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has been awarded a five-year, $383.2M contract to produce high-frequency radios and associated equipment for the U.S. Marine Corps.
USMC ordered radio systems with National Security Agency Type 1 encryption certification, provisioning kits and ancillary components through the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The company will provide receiver-transmitters and transit case and vehicle-based HF systems that are based on the RF-300H manpack radio technology.
Contract work also covers documentation and training services in support of USMC's program manager for communications systems.
The service awarded the IDIQ through a sole-source acquisition process and will obligate $89.2M on the initial delivery order.
DoD expects the company to finish contract work by March 2025.
