The service branch is procuring handheld, manpack, vehicle-mounted and base-mounted devices that have been approved by the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Radios that L3Harris will supply are intended to operate at high, very-high and ultra-high frequencies and support the transmission of military data for emergency, line-of-sight and integrated waveform communications.
Work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will take place in Rochester, New York, through February 2027.
The company will receive funds per order from the operations and maintenance accounts at the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and the Army.
