An L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) division has landed a seven-year, $200 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to offer warfighter readiness and training research.
L-3 Link Simulation and Training will research, develop, evaluate and validate training approaches, methods, tools and infrastructure, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The Air Force Research Laboratory will obligate $4.6 million in fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds for the contract.
AFRL conducts basic research, applied research and “advanced” technology development in an effort to discover, develop and integrate warfighting technologies in the air, space and cyber mission areas.
L-3 will perform work at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base through Jan. 31, 2023, DoD said.
