Kratos Gets U.S. Gov’t RF Monitoring Services Contract; Phil Carrai Quoted

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions (Nasdaq: KTOS) received a potential five-year, $39M contract to provide radio frequency monitoring services to support commercial and military satellites that deploy bandwidth leased by the U.S. government.

The Geolocation Global Support Services award has a base value of $7.7M that covers a one-year period and includes four one-year extension options, Kratos said Friday.

Work under the contract includes RF monitoring for Combined Space Operations Center-identified bandwidth and other interference mitigation activities to enable satellite communications on leased bandwidth for 24 hours and seven days a week.

Phil Carrai, president of the space, training and cybersecurity division at Kratos, said the company™s signal detection offerings are designed to support the government™s multidomain operations and national defense missions.

Kratos™ RF services portfolio utilizes a network comprised of 80 sensors and Ku, C, X and S-band antennas located around the world. The company said it intends to use its satID and Monics offerings to resolve interference issues and perform signal geolocation operations as part of the award.
