The General Services Administration has awarded KPMG a spot on a potential $127M blanket purchase agreement to help the Department of Housing and Urban Development update an information technology platform used to process mortgage loans.
KPMG said Thursday it will develop software applications for the Government National Mortgage Association, a program office under HUD, to manage system updates, customer experience and regulatory compliance.
The professional services company seeks to help Ginnie Mae simplify the process for assisting loan issuers and other stakeholders.
Chris Marston, advisory industry leader for KPMG's federal government practice, said the company has provided IT modernization and software development support to HUD over the past decade.
"Being selected for this BPA is particularly gratifying because it gives us the opportunity to continue serving the IT needs of HUD and Ginnie Mae so they can deliver on their missions," Marston added.
